With its mirrored chrome pickguard, bank of slide switches and roller controls, and spring vibrato, it captures the distinctive look of 1960s Japanese electric guitar design.

The LG-140T appeared in the mid-1960s as one of Guyatone's solid body electrics, and its four-pickup layout sets it apart from the more common two- and three-pickup Japanese guitars of the period. In the US, a closely related version was sold as the Kent 533 Videocaster. This example retains its original "ELECTRIC GUITAR MODEL LG-140T" label on the back of the headstock. It is a genuine piece of Japanese guitar history from the golden age of 1960s MIJ electrics.

== SPECIFICATIONS ==
- Model: Guyatone LG-140T
- Year: c. mid-1960s
- Country of Origin: Japan
- Color: Sunburst
- Pickups: 4 (two with slotted pole pieces, two with screw pole pieces), cream covers
- Controls: Six slide switches, two roller controls, two rotary knobs
- Pickguard: Mirrored chrome metal plate with separate switch panel
- Bridge: Plastic bridge with thumbwheel height adjustment, spring vibrato with arm
- Neck Joint: Bolt-on, 4-screw neck plate
- Fingerboard: Block position inlays, double dots at the 12th fret
- Tuners: 6-in-line open-gear tuners
- Weight: 3.0 kg (approx. 6.6 lbs)

== CONDITION ==
Overall: Good

- Body: Numerous scratches and signs of use, including finish wear on the back and chips along the edges
- Neck: Straight
- Frets: Approximately 60-70% remaining
- Hardware: Tarnish on metal parts (vintage patina)

All electronics function correctly.
