Here we have a traditional and classic PB-style model from Tokai, the Hard Puncher.
Featuring an alder body and one-piece maple neck, this bass delivers the punchy, articulate midrange clarity that has made Tokai's vintage instruments so highly regarded.
Based on the headstock logo style, we date this instrument to around 1984-1987.
During this era, Tokai offered both the PB40 and PB48 models, which only differed in pickup specifications. Since the exact pickup variant cannot be definitively identified, we are listing it as "TPB40/TPB48."

The body is crafted from alder with a solid one-piece maple neck.
While the body shows some scratches and the hardware has areas of oxidation consistent with nearly 40 years of age, overall it remains in very good condition for its vintage.
