1990 Fender Japan TL62B "'62 Telecaster Custom" Reissue — 3-Tone Sunburst, MIJ Fujigen
A Made in Japan Telecaster Custom '62 reissue from the golden age of Fender Japan production. Built at the renowned Fujigen factory, these double-bound, rosewood-board Telecasters are highly regarded by players and were produced primarily for the Japanese domestic market, making them uncommon to find outside Japan.
This example wears a classic 3-Tone Sunburst with cream double binding around the top and back of the body — the appointment that earned the "Custom" name on the original early-'60s Telecasters. The neck heel is stamped "TLC-62B" and the body "TL62B-65," with the serial (A040941) stamped on the bridge plate as is typical of these Fender Japan Telecaster reissues.
