1993-1994 Squier by Fender SST-33 Stratocaster - Silver Series, MIJ Fujigen
A clean example of the final Made-in-Japan Squier era - the Silver Series
Stratocaster, built at the legendary Fujigen Gakki factory between 1993
and 1994. The Silver Series represented Fender's response to the rising
tide of Korean-built budget guitars in the early '90s, and Fender
deliberately leaned on Fujigen's renowned craftsmanship to keep the
Squier name aligned with Japanese build quality.
Of all the late-MIJ Squier production, the SST-33 in 3-Tone Sunburst with
a rosewood fingerboard is one of the more sought-after configurations -
classic Strat looks, vintage 7.25" radius, and a comfortable C-shape
neck profile that echoes the early '60s feel. Production ended in 1995-
1996 when Squier shifted entirely overseas, making clean Fujigen-built
examples increasingly difficult to find in good condition.

== WHY THIS GUITAR ==
Late-period Fujigen-built Squiers like this SST-33 have developed a
quiet but loyal following among players who want authentic MIJ build
quality without the price tag of a Fender Japan ST-series. The Silver
Series was the swan song of Made-in-Japan Squier production, and clean,
all-original Sunburst examples on rosewood are getting harder to source
each year. A solid working player's Strat with genuine Japanese
provenance and the Fujigen pedigree behind it.
