Product Overview

1978-1981 Fernandes FMT-50 "Stone Logo" Mustang Competition - MIJ Lawsuit Era

This is a rare opportunity to own a Japanese vintage gem from the golden
age of Japanese guitar manufacturing. The Fernandes FMT-50 is widely
regarded as one of the most faithful and best-built Mustang copies ever
made in Japan, crafted during the legendary "lawsuit era" when Japanese
builders rivaled - and often surpassed - their American counterparts in
build quality.

This particular example wears the highly sought-after Lake Placid Blue
Competition finish with racing stripes - a noticeably scarcer variant
than the standard solid colors. Manufactured between 1977 and 1981, the
"Stone Logo" era represents the earliest and most respected period of
Fernandes production, with OEM construction by either Kawai Gakki or
Tokai Gakki using premium materials of the era.

== WHY THIS GUITAR ==
Genuine Stone Logo Fernandes FMT-50s are increasingly difficult to find,
and the Competition variant is rarer still. With its Sen body, premium
1970s Japanese craftsmanship, and faithful reproduction of every Mustang
detail (including the often-imitated phase-out switching), this is a
serious player's guitar that also holds genuine collector value. The
included original price tag is the kind of small detail that elevates
this from a great player to a true time capsule.
