Tokai SS70 OW Limited Edition – 1981 Made in Japan
This is a Tokai SS70 OW Limited Edition, identified as a 1981 model based on the serial number.
This guitar was produced in very limited numbers as a special Limited Edition, making it a rare and difficult model to find today.
Unlike the regular Tokai SS lineup, this guitar belongs to the Limited Series, featuring specifications that differ from standard production models. Due to its low production numbers and unique features, it is highly regarded among collectors of early Tokai instruments.
Features and Sound
This model is a special specification inspired by Fender “The STRAT”.
It features an alder body, maple neck, and 21-fret maple fingerboard, delivering a bright and articulate response typical of early 1980s high-quality Japanese Strat-style guitars.
The guitar is equipped with a brass tremolo bridge and brass knobs, contributing to a solid feel and enhanced sustain.
It is fitted with Tokai U-stamp pickups, known for their clear and well-balanced vintage-style tone.
The pickup selector is a 3-way switch, consistent with early Strat-style specifications.
