1986-1989 Charvel Model 1B "Pointed Headstock" Bass - MIJ Model Series
A genuine Japanese-made Charvel from the Model Series era, the Model 1B is a no-frills, stage-ready P-style bass built during the height of the 1980s superstrat boom. Bolt-on rock maple neck, maple fingerboard, black hardware and the unmistakable pointed headstock give it a look and feel that is pure 80s.
The Charvel Model Series was produced in Japan from 1986 to 1989 only, making this a relatively short production window. The neck plate carries the "BY JACKSON/CHARVEL" logo with the Fort Worth, Texas address and serial 290701. Model Series bolt-on basses do not have a publicly documented year-by-year serial chart, so the production period is stated as a range rather than a single year. The single split-coil Jackson pickup with simple Volume/Tone wiring keeps the signal path direct and punchy.
