The Fernandes LA-85KK is the Japanese domestic-market signature model built for ken (Ken Kitamura) of L'Arc-en-Ciel. Released during the 1990s, it wears an all-red finish that runs across the body, the neck and even the maple fingerboard, contrasted by gold hardware throughout.
The details that define this model are all present here: a reverse headstock, the lizard inlay at the 12th fret, a 24-fret maple neck and an arm-up routed Fernandes FRT-5PRO-TRS licensed Floyd Rose tremolo. The SSH pickup layout is paired with a single master volume, a 5-way lever switch and a mini switch that taps the bridge humbucker, giving this guitar a wide tonal range from full humbucker output to single-coil clarity.
