c.1966-67 Guyatone LG-120T "Swivel Pickup" - Made in Japan Vintage Bizarre Guitar
Here is a genuine 1960s Guyatone LG-120T, one of the most unusual Japanese electric guitars of that decade. Its signature feature is the rotating (swivel) neck pickup. It mounts on two screws inside a cutout in the pickguard, so the player can turn it and change its angle under the strings.
Guyatone introduced the LG-120T on the Japanese domestic market in 1966, and it stayed in production for only a short time. Few examples come up for sale today. Besides the swivel pickup, it has an offset body, three pickups, two slide switches labeled COOL/HOT and SOLO/RHYTHM, and a vibrato tailpiece. It is a true piece of 1960s Japanese guitar history. This example carries serial number 6108482, close to other documented 1966-1967 LG-120Ts.

== WHY THIS GUITAR ==
The LG-120T is one of Guyatone's most inventive designs: a 1960s factory guitar whose neck pickup actually moves. Add the COOL/HOT and SOLO/RHYTHM switching, the offset body and the vibrato, and it is a striking example of 1960s Japanese guitar design. It is a fun, characterful instrument to play, and a hard-to-find model for collectors of vintage Made in Japan guitars.
