Canopus Black Nickel Brass BB-1455 14" x 5.5" Snare Drum - 2010, Made in Japan
A Canopus Black Nickel Brass snare in the 14" x 5.5" size, model BB-1455. The 1.2mm brass shell is plated in black nickel, and the original Canopus factory label inside the shell reads MODEL BB-1455 / SERIAL 00027 / DATE 2010-Jun / MADE IN JAPAN.
The Black Nickel Brass was a long-running metal-shell model in the Canopus snare line. In 2023 Canopus introduced the Black Nickel Brass II with a thicker 1.5mm shell; this drum is the earlier 1.2mm version.
