CoolZ ZJB-1R – Made in Japan by Fujigen for Shimamura Music
This is a CoolZ ZJB-1R, a high-quality Jazz Bass model crafted in Japan by Fujigen for Shimamura Music’s original brand, CoolZ.
Renowned for excellent craftsmanship and impressive cost performance, CoolZ instruments are highly regarded as reliable Japanese-made alternatives to Fender Japan.
Featuring an alder body, a 1-piece hard maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, this model follows the classic 1960s Jazz Bass construction.
Unlike the medium-scale version, this model features a full 864mm long scale, providing a traditional feel and tone.
The frets use the C.F.S. (Circle Fretting System), offering precise intonation and a smoother playing experience.
It is equipped with a JB700/CR spiral bridge, and the truss rod is adjustable from the headstock side — maintaining a vintage Jazz Bass vibe while adding modern practicality.
There are some light surface scratches from normal use, but no significant or noticeable damage. Overall, it remains in excellent condition.
The neck is straight and the frets have plenty of life left.
