Extremely Rare Left-Handed Fender Japan Telecaster TL52-65 (JV Serial, 1984 Blonde)
This is an ultra-rare left-handed Fender Japan Telecaster TL52-65 from the highly sought-after JV Serial era — representing the earliest production period of Fender Japan.
Based on the neck date, it was built around 1984.
The finish is BLD (Blonde), the original transparent blonde that beautifully shows the grain, recreating the tone of color before it evolved into the later butterscotch shade.
Among the rapidly appreciating Fender Japan vintage models, the JV-era instruments are especially prized by collectors worldwide.
Its authentic appearance and color tone clearly reflect the passion and craftsmanship of the early Fender Japan team.
Featuring a classic ash body and one-piece hard maple neck, this Tele delivers the crisp, articulate tone that defines the best “Telly” sound.
It has the punchy, dry, and cutting response that only an aged guitar can produce — exactly what you’d expect from a vintage Blackguard-style Telecaster.
Pickups are U.S. Vintage TL models, with U.S.-made cloth wiring, a 1-ply black Bakelite pickguard, brass 3-saddle bridge, and slotted screws throughout — perfectly recreating the look of an early-’50s Telecaster.
The body back has been contoured for comfort (no paint applied, but cleanly finished).
It shows some wear consistent with age, but nothing that affects playability.
The neck is straight, and frets have about 50–60% life remaining with no buzzing or dead spots.
All electronics work properly.
The control pots may have been replaced at some point, but other parts appear original.
JV-serial Telecasters have become increasingly hard to find, and left-handed models are especially rare.
