2012 CoolZ ZJB-M1R "Medium Scale" Jazz Bass Type - Candy Apple Red, Made in Japan by Fujigen
This is a Japanese-made medium scale Jazz Bass type instrument from CoolZ, the in-house brand of the Shimamura Gakki music store chain, built at the Fujigen factory. The ZJB-M1R pairs a traditional alder body and hard maple bolt-on neck with a 812mm (32") medium scale, making it a comfortable choice for players with smaller hands, doubling guitarists, and studio use.
The instrument is equipped with Fujigen's Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.), in which the nut and frets are installed in a slight arc so that the speaking length is equalized across all strings. The result is stable intonation across the neck and a clear, articulate response. Hardware follows the factory specification with GOTOH FB-3 tuners and a JB700 bridge, and the electronics use the JBD-1 (neck) and JBD-2 (bridge) single coil set with the classic two volume / one tone layout.
