1977-1981 Yamaha SG-1000 Left-Handed - Cherry Sunburst, Made in Japan
This is a genuine left-handed example of the Yamaha SG-1000, one of the most highly regarded Japanese solidbody electrics of the late 1970s. Built in-house by Yamaha in Japan, the SG-1000 pairs a carved maple top over mahogany with a set neck and a bound ebony fingerboard, and is known outside Japan as the SBG1000.
The left-handed version of the SG-1000 was introduced in 1977, and left-handed examples of this model reach the market far less frequently than the standard right-handed version. This particular guitar wears the classic Cherry Sunburst finish with gold hardware, split-block pearl inlays on ebony, and the Bi-Sound circuit that allows the humbuckers to be split via the tone controls.
