1977 Greco EG Series Les Paul Standard Type Semi-Hollow - Brown Sunburst - MIJ Lawsuit Era
Crafted in Japan in October 1977, this Greco EG Series Les Paul Standard type comes from the period when Japanese builders were producing some of the most highly regarded single-cut designs of the era. It features the open-book headstock, a bell-shaped "Standard" truss rod cover and a semi-hollow body.
The serial number J776310 on the back of the headstock decodes in Greco's month-letter format as October 1977 (J = October, 77 = 1977). The pickup back is stamped "17924", which reads as a September 1977 date code and matches the guitar's serial date. The body has an internal hollow (semi-hollow construction). The guitar carries no model sticker or model stamp, so it is listed here as an EG Series Standard type.
