1991-1993 Charvel CDS-055-HH "Violet Sunburst" Superstrat - MIJ, Chushin Gakki
A Japanese-market Charvel superstrat from the early 1990s, built at the Chushin Gakki factory in Nagano. The CDS series was produced for the Japanese domestic market, so clean examples rarely surface outside Japan.
This example wears the Violet Sunburst finish with a matching-color headstock and carries the "Charvel by Jackson/Charvel" logo of the era. The layout is pure hot-rodded 1990s: a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, two humbuckers, a single volume and tone, and a Charvel-branded licensed double-locking tremolo. At 3.25 kg it is a comfortable, easy-handling instrument.

== WHY THIS GUITAR ==
Early-1990s MIJ Charvels are steadily gaining recognition among players who want 1980s superstrat feel with Japanese build quality. The CDS-055-HH combines a slim, fast neck, a locking tremolo and a simple two-humbucker circuit, which makes it a genuine player's piece rather than a shelf ornament. The Violet Sunburst with matching headstock is one of the more eye-catching finishes of the series, and at 3.25 kg this is a light, gig-friendly example.
