1993 BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor - Silver Label, Made in Taiwan, with Box & Manual
The BOSS NS-2 is one of the most widely used noise suppressors ever built, and remains a standard on pedalboards worldwide. This example carries the silver bottom label with the PSA adaptor chart and the serial number AE88965, placing it in 1993 production.
BOSS moved NS-2 production from Japan to Taiwan in December 1989, and this unit is from that early silver label Taiwanese run. It came to us as a Japanese domestic-market set, complete with its box and the Japanese-language owner's manual - a combination that is increasingly uncommon for a pedal of this age.

== WHY THIS PEDAL ==
The NS-2 uses BOSS's noise detection circuit to separate the instrument signal from the noise component, so hum and hiss are removed while the natural attack and envelope of the instrument stay intact. The Send/Return loop lets you place high-gain drive pedals inside the loop for far more effective suppression than a simple gate. A silver label example with its box and manual makes a tidy, complete set for a player or a BOSS collector.
