2014 CoolZ ZST-1R Stratocaster-Type - Made in Japan by Fujigen
CoolZ was a house brand of Shimamura Gakki, and the instruments were built at the Fujigen factory in Nagano - the same plant that produced Fender Japan and Ibanez guitars for decades. The ZST-1R is the brand's core Stratocaster-type model, combining a traditional alder/maple/rosewood platform with Fujigen's proprietary C.F.S. (Circle Fretting System) fretwork.
This example was built in 2014 (serial K140802, stamped on the back of the headstock together with the C.F.S. patent mark and MADE IN JAPAN). It wears a metallic teal blue finish with a white pickguard, and it has clearly been played - an honest, player-grade Japanese-made Strat rather than a collector's shelf piece.
