Canopus The Maple M-1455 14x5.5 Maple Snare Drum - Made in Japan, 2006
This is a Canopus "The Maple" snare drum, model M-1455, with a 14" x 5.5" maple shell. It was built in Japan in December 2006. The Canopus label inside the shell records the build date, the model and serial number 00459, and has handwritten entries in its four staff fields. The shell is in Excellent condition, with a gloss red-to-deep-red fade finish and gold-tone lugs.
The Maple is Canopus' maple-shell snare series. This drum carries the M-1455 model code on its shell label. The Canopus badge reads "Customized Drum Products", the throw-off is Canopus-engraved, and both heads are Canopus-branded heads made by Remo.
