1997-2000 Fender Japan Stratocaster '57 Style Medium Scale - 2-Tone Sunburst - Crafted in Japan
This is a Fender Japan Stratocaster from the Crafted in Japan era. It combines classic '57-style appointments with a 628 mm (24.75") medium scale. The one-piece maple neck, spaghetti logo, 8-screw white pickguard and 2-tone sunburst finish give it a classic 1950s look, and the shorter scale sets it apart from the standard 648 mm models.
Medium-scale Stratocasters were built by Fender Japan for the Japanese domestic market. This example carries the "Crafted in Japan" decal and an O-prefix serial (O041742), which dates it to 1997-2000. In this period Fender Japan production had moved from Fujigen to Tokai and Dyna Gakki.
