This is a Made in Japan Fernandes from "The Revival" series, the line Fernandes introduced in 1981 to recreate classic vintage instruments as closely as possible. It has a one-piece maple neck, a small headstock and a 3-tone sunburst finish in the 1950s style.
The Revival series comes from the 1980s, when the Japanese guitar industry was at its peak, and it is highly regarded by collectors and players of Japan vintage guitars. The neck plate carries the Fernandes stamp and the L-serial number L019246. L-serials are sequential numbers and do not encode the year. Compared with documented examples, this serial places production around 1984-1985, which falls within The Revival era.
