1981 Tokai Silver Star Series SS-65N – Rare Vintage MIJ Stratocaster Style – 3.0kg
This is a 1981 Tokai Silver Star Series SS-65N, a particularly rare model within the SS lineup.

Body: 2-piece solid Sen (Japanese ash)

Neck: One-piece maple neck with laminated rosewood fingerboard

Bridge: Long sustain brass bridge (nut has been replaced)

Pickups: Gray bobbin single coils – based on this, we identify the model as SS-65N (the only difference from the higher SS-85N is the pickup type)
Condition:

The body shows scratches and signs of aging.

The back of the body has a noticeable scrape (see photos).

On the back of the neck, there is a vertical finish crack along the skunk stripe. It appears to be only in the finish, not into the wood.

The neck is straight, with around 60% fret life remaining. No buzzing or dead spots.

Strap pin has been relocated, with the original hole still visible.

Weight: approx. 3.0kg
Although it shows some playwear and cosmetic aging, this guitar remains a highly playable instrument, suitable for both stage and recording use.
